 Inclement Weather Situations

 When Giles County Public Schools have a schedule change (closing or delay) due to inclement weather or other emergencies, the information is communicated as soon as the decision is made in these ways: 

  • Sent via School Messenger to the phone numbers as recorded in your child's school records: Home Phone, Mother's Day Phone and Father's Day Phone. Please contact your student's school if any changes to these numbers are required.
  • Called-in to area radio and television stations.
  • A recording placed on the School Board Office's phone line at: 540-921-1421 ext 4
